Bright SG Ltd. t/a Bright is committed to the highest standards of transparency and business conduct, which we set out in our Company Code of Conduct. We place business ethics and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at the forefront of all our business dealings, including those with our suppliers, recognising that they are key stakeholders in the success of our business.
To support this, we are committed to the responsible sourcing of goods and services and this Supplier Code of Conduct sets out our expectations of those who provide these goods and services to us.
This Supplier Code of Conduct sets out the minimum standards we expect, and we encourage all suppliers not only to adhere, but to go beyond these standards. The term “Supplier” as used in this code refers to suppliers, vendors, contractors, consultants, agents and other providers of goods and services who do, or seek to do, business with Bright.
Through this Supplier Code of Conduct, Bright expects that our suppliers conduct their business in a fair and ethical basis and in compliance with our core principles of sustainability.
As a responsible business, Bright sets the highest standards for the way we conduct our operations. In turn, we expect suppliers to conduct business responsibly, with integrity and transparency and in compliance with the following requirements.
The Supplier shall respect and support the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights. Bright will not tolerate any violations of human rights among our suppliers.
Bright expects all business partners to map their supply chains to assess particular product-related or geographical risks of adverse human rights impacts, including risks related to forced labour and modern slavery, child labour and the freedom of association, legal right to work and the right to collective bargaining among workers.
The Supplier must ensure that its workers work in compliance with all applicable laws and mandatory industry standards pertaining to regular working hours/days, and overtime hours, including breaks, rest periods, holidays, and maternity and paternity leaves.
The Supplier should promote diversity in their workplaces, never discriminating in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement on the grounds of race, caste, religion, age, nationality, social or ethnic origin, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or expression, marital status, family status, pregnancy, union membership, political affiliation, disability or other legally protected class.
In keeping with our commitment to exercising appropriate standards of professionalism and ethical conduct in all business activities, Bright expects similar standards from our suppliers.
At Bright we are increasing our efforts to understand our environmental impacts and risks, and to reduce our adverse impacts on the environment, the climate and the natural world. We have set ourselves the target of becoming Net Zero by 2024. Bright expects all suppliers to take a precautionary approach to environmental challenges and undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility.
Bright requires suppliers to ensure their operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations at a minimum. Furthermore, we expect that all suppliers adhere to Bright’s requirements, including the standards as laid out in this Supplier Code of Conduct.
The Supplier shall cooperate to allow Bright to verify compliance with these standards.
The Supplier shall immediately report any concerns about compliance with legal requirements or any aspect of this code, to their designated point of contact within Bright.
Where The Supplier is found to have contravened the requirements set out in this Code, Bright reserves the right to terminate any associated agreement or business relationship.
