From September 22nd to 26th, we celebrated Learning Week at Bright. Our theme was ‘Five Days, Five Ways to Grow’, where we wanted to highlight to our employees all the different ways they can develop themselves at Bright.

Day 1- Learn from Each Other

Monday’s topic was ‘Learn from Each Other’ where our employees shared some of their best tips about software, work habits, communication tricks or anything that made their work life easier.

Some tips mentioned were:
💡 Colour-code your calendar using categories, making it much easier for visual people to quickly see their meetings or tasks at a glance
💡 Double-click the border between column headers in Excel to auto-resize the column to fit all content perfectly
💡 Starting subject lines with the action needed (like “ACTION: Review by Friday” or “FYI: New process”) saves everyone time

Day 2 – Learn from Setbacks

Tuesday’s topic was ‘Learn from Setbacks’.

We held an employee session where Anant Patel, Head of Support and Catherine Kehoe, Director of Revenue Ops, shared their experiences of setbacks and how these challenges contributed to their growth and current roles.

Learning from setbacks is so important because it fuels growth. Each challenge reveals blind spots and strengthens resilience. Instead of seeing setbacks as roadblocks, look at them as a way to refine your approach, sharpen your skills and build confidence.

Day 3 – Learn Something New

Wednesday topic was ‘Learn Something New’.

We wanted to remind our employees that our LMS has a variety of interesting courses available.

Some intriguing questions that can be answered by completing courses on our LMS are:

  • 🤝 Do you know that customer experience and customer service are not the same?
  • 💪 Ever heard of “Thoracic Spine Stretch” or “Carpal Tunnel Syndrome”?
  • 💬 Do you know what is the key difference between synchronous and asynchronous communication?
  • 🌱 What is the most important criteria when selecting sustainable food products?
  • 🎯 What does SP3V stand for in a sales discovery call?

Day 4 – Learn from Success

Thursday’s topic was ‘Learn from Success’, where our departments had an opportunity to share their recent key wins and learnings.

This was a great opportunity to show everyone what each department was getting up to as well as what they learnt and it was fantastic to see the variety of projects everyone was working on.

Day 5 – Learn Forward

As we wrapped up Friday with our theme of ‘Learn Forward’, there was no better way to look ahead than by exploring how AI can enhance our employees work and thinking.

Our Head of AI, Euan Matthews, designed an excellent course specifically for us: AI in Bright. This course is available in our LMS for our employees and covers the following key areas:

  • Introduction to AI
  • How we use AI in Bright
  • Bright’s AI Policy
  • AI and our Products

This course offers valuable insights into how AI tools can support their daily work, boost productivity and help employees approach challenges with fresh perspectives.

Learning Week is a reflection of our commitment to building a culture where everyone can thrive. If you’re looking for a workplace that invests in your growth and celebrates your success, discover more about life at Bright on our careers page.
