Bright brand launch & acquisition announcement

On Wednesday, 5th October, celebrations stretched across Ireland and the UK as Bright officially launched its company-wide rebrand. The rebrand means a shiny new office sign, fresh new website and if that wasn’t already enough cause for celebration, a new acquisition. That morning, it was announced that a new company had become a member of the Bright family, BTCSoftware.

BTCSoftware are tax software specialists in the UK, founded in 1999. They provide customers with solutions for tax filing compliance, accounts production and practice management. BTCSoftware have also invested heavily in products supporting accountants to meet new Making Tax Digital (MTD) requirements in the UK, starting with BTCHub which enables accountants to comply with MTD VAT software rules. And down the line, MTD ITSA is a key deliverable in the company’s product roadmap.

Bright's head office in Duleek, Co. Meath held a Bright launch party where some key customers, recruiters, local colleges and others were invited to see the office, network with our staff, and get to know a bit more about Bright and its products. In the UK office, celebrations kicked off earlier in the day with pizzas and sparkling Bright balloons strung across the ceiling to mark the celebration.

Following the acquisition, Bright’s software supports over 11,000 accounting practices and more than 30,000 small to medium-sized businesses across Ireland and the UK, with a headcount of almost 300, with offices in Duleek and Dublin, Ireland, Warwick, UK and in Kolkata, India.
