With this in mind, we’re thrilled to partner with Xero to offer our users a seamless two-way sync integration between our practice management software, BrightManager, and Xero — enhancing efficiency and accuracy like never before.
With the integration enabled, any updates you make to Client data will be reflected in the other respective software. In addition to this, invoices raised in BrightManager will create a draft invoice in Xero. Invoices created in Xero will create an invoice in BrightManager. If marked as paid in either software, this will be updated in both places.

How to integrate BrightManager and Xero
- Navigate to Tools > Integrations
- Press the Xero icon
- Select the organisation you would like to sync with
- Once the sync has started the data held in Xero will be brought over to BrightManager
- Once the sync has completed your customers will be available to create or merge

- The client data that matches Xero will be indicated by a percentage

- If the customer already exists in BrightManager you can use the merge facility to use either Xero or BrightManager data
- You can use Xero data to create a client in BrightManager by selecting create
- Once you sync Xero invoicing, your BrightManager invoice style will change to reflect Xero invoices

- Please note – You need to ensure you have merged and created all your Xero clients before syncing invoices
- Invoices from Xero will be brought through after the syncronisation has completed
- Any invoices you create will be visible in both software

- Syncing historical invoices cannot be reversed

- All historical invoices will be synced from Xero into BrightManager
- All new invoices created are now in Xero’s invoice style
- Once an invoice is created in BrightManager and the sync has completed, the invoice will appear in Xero
- If you navigate into invoices you will then have the option to view the history and use the URL to open it in BrightManager
- If you log time in BrightManager you can use BrightManager to create the invoice before pushing it through to Xero to use their payment processing tools
